At Stock Church of England Primary School we use ICT at the heart of teaching and learning. We teach a progressiveComputing curriculum which is delivered through cross curricular learning experiences as well as using technology inour day to day teaching.
Pupils are taught the principles of information and computation, and how digital systemswork. Computing equips pupils to use information technology to create programs, systemsand a range of media. It also ensures that pupils become digitally literate – able to use, andexpress themselves and develop their ideas through, information and communicationtechnology – at a level suitable for the future workplace and as an active participant in anever changing digital world.
At Stock each teacher has a laptop and each class has an interactive whiteboard andvisualiser. We have a suite of 17 computers as well as a bank of iPads. We have acommitted team of staff, governors and parents who formed an ICT Working Party in2012 and ensure that ICT provision across the school is the best it can be.
