A high quality geography education should inspire a curiosity and fascination in our pupilsabout the world and its people. The teaching should equip pupils with knowledge about diverseplaces, resources and natural and human environments, with an appreciation of life in othercultures.
Geography teaching should motivate children to find out about the physical world andenables them to recognize the importance of sustainable development for the future ofmankind.
We want to develop the pupil’s knowledge and understanding of the location of significantplaces, both land and sea. For them to understand the processes that give rise to key physicaland human geographical features.
We aim to ensure that the children are competent in the geographical skills needed to collect, analyse and communicate a range of data gatheredthrough fieldwork. That they are able to interpret information collected from maps, globes, diagrams and photos, and can then communicate their findings in variety of ways.
